The melody queen the mesmerizing voice of the nation ASHA BHONSLE has sung a club in Kannada for the first time in her profession career of singing.

The credit for bringing the younger sister of Latha Mangeshkar – the 76 years Asha Bhonsle goes to music director Veer Samarth. The song Jothegaranilla Jotheyaaru Illa Jothegara Ninage Naa Kadhiruve…..penned by Raghavendra Kamath was recorded at Spectral Harmony studio in Andheri West on 2nd February 2009 around 5 pm. Asha Bhonsle took two and half hours to sing this song said Veera Samarth speaking to this correspondent over telephone.

On the 1st of February the rehearsal was made and next day the recording of the song took place. When Asha Bhonsle was contacted at her residence the Harmonium was placed before music director Veer Samarth. The harmonium was used by RD Burman Saab said Ashaji and with lot of respect Veer Samarth played the song in front of Ashaji. Ashaji wrote the Kannada lyrics in Hindi in her own hand writing and rendered it effortlessly.

It was around five months ago Veera Samarth and Pratap thought of one song from Ashaji and sent a CD of the track song. They did not know for which film the club song they prepared would suit. Now the song of Ashaji is likely to fit in to ‘Mandhahasa’ of producer Basava Reddy.
